With a Ph.D. from the Unites States, Dr. Madani Alaqi is the Chairman of the Medical Projects Department, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration and graduate studies supervisor and former chairman of the Scientific Committee at King Abdulaziz University.
Dr. Madani is a renowned researcher in the fields of administration and environment. He has several publications across various disciplines. He has also published two volumes of his ‘Sira wa Masira’, a biographical collection about his development journey, personal life and his academic career.
In 1982, Dr. Alaqi was awarded the Saudi Order of Merit by the late King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud after receiving his Ph.D. becoming one of the ten first professors at King Abdulaziz University.
In the 1970s, Dr. El Jaroudi started his career as a consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton, after which he held various senior executive positions with one of the largest conglomerates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In 1996, he co-established the Middle East Capital Group in Lebanon, the region’s first merchant bank with a pan-Arab focus. Until June 2016, Dr. El Jaroudi was the first chief Executive Officer of the first Islamic Bank in Oman. Since July 2016, Dr. El Jaroudi has been working as independent professional, supporting investors in establishing new Islamic banks. As an Executive with over forty years of experience, Dr. El Jaroudi provides consultancy services to business establishments.
Karim Elgamal is the Audi & Quality Senior Manager at Misr Elkheir Foundation. He has 13 years of hands-on experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Risk Assessment, Fraud Examinations, and Process Improvement. Karim participated in establishing the internal audit department and the governance system in Misr Elkheir since he joined in 2009. He is in charge of the Risk Management Team and responsible for the Code of Conflict of Interest inside Misr Elkheir.
Karim holds his Master’s degree in Business Administration from ESLSCA Paris. In addition, he is a Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Previously he was a Performance Improvement Senior Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Cairo and Riyadh Offices).
Dr. Josiane Fahed-Sreih is a full-time Associate Professor of Management in the School of Business at the Lebanese American University. She is the founder and currently the director of the Institute of Family and Entrepreneurial Business at the Lebanese American University. She is the chairperson of the Department of Management and held the position of Assistant Dean at the School. She holds a Ph.D. from the Sorbonne University, Paris. She is the winner of the 2007 International Award from the Family Firm Institute in the US, in recognition for outstanding achievement in furthering the understanding of family business issues that occur between two or more countries.
She published in 2004 her book in the US on “Facts and Figures concerning Family Businesses in Lebanon” in 2017 her book on “Conflict in Family Businesses: Conflict Models and Practices” with Palgrave Macmillan and another book on the “How to Manage Family Businesses: The 10 imperatives for success” with Cambridge Scholars.
